Sophie Side Table, Walnut

HER STORY

The Sophie Side Table is a petite, classically inspired solid walnut side table, designed in Australia with a relaxed and understated sensibility. Her turned legs, softly detailed form and balanced proportions draw on traditional furniture design, reinterpreted through an Australian lens for contemporary living.

Designed on the Sunshine Coast, Sophie has a character that feels familiar and enduring rather than tied to a particular trend. In rich American walnut, her classical silhouette takes on a deeper, more sophisticated quality, bringing warmth and natural character to even the smallest spaces.

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Sophie is crafted from 100% solid American walnut, with no MDF and no timber veneer. A premium natural hardwood, American walnut is prized for its rich brown tones, fine grain and beautiful variation in colour and character.

Her protective finish enhances the natural depth of the walnut while preserving the tactile quality of real timber. Rather than disguising the material, the finish allows the grain, tonal variation and natural character of the wood to remain part of the design.

As every Sophie is crafted from natural solid timber, variations in grain, colour and texture make each table subtly unique.

STYLING & VERSATILITY

Small in scale and wonderfully versatile, Sophie is designed to find a place almost anywhere in the home. Use her as a solid walnut side table beside a sofa or armchair, an occasional table in a reading corner, or a small bedside table or nightstand where space is limited.

Her compact footprint makes Sophie particularly useful in apartments, guest rooms and smaller living spaces, while her solid wood construction gives her the presence and durability of a more substantial piece of furniture.

The rich walnut tones pair beautifully with natural linen, wool, stone and warm neutral palettes. Cream and ivory provide a soft contrast to the dar

Timber is a live material and will react to fluctuations in humidity and temperature in your home. Subtle expansion, warping or hairline cracks are a natural reaction and are considered part of its charming character. To minimise the changes to the timber, take care to not place it close to or in front of heaters or air conditioning vents. We also recommend to avoid placing your pieces in direct sunlight.
